50042
Triumph was requested as the locomotive of choice for a private diesel charter in May 2009 at the
Bodmin & Wenford Railway. It masqueraded as a now-scrapped member of the class, having the TOPS number and nameplate 50039
Implacable fixed to its bodyside. For those invited, the locomotive provided turns to both Bodmin Parkway and Boscarne Junction from Bodmin General and the return throughout the day.
Currently 50042 is the only Class 50 painted in British Rail corporate blue livery, although several other members have previously carried this whilst in preservation.
