Defiance at different stages during the Class 50 Terminator - Phoenixed! tour run by
Pathfinder Tours.
The tour was a re-run (albeit in reverse order) of the famous 1992 Class 50 Terminator tour, their final British Rail journey. The tour started at London Paddington, travelling to Penzance and returned to London Waterloo, a total of 610 miles for the one-day trip.
It was the first time the two locomotives had been seen in public following their repaint into GBRf livery. For the outward journey 50049 sported the headboard from the original Class 50 Terminator tour. 50007, one of the locomotives used on the original tour, masqueraded as 50014
Warspite a long-time scrapped member of the class.
