To celebrate the end of 111 years maintaining locomotives for the Western Region, Old Oak Common depot opened its doors to the public. On display were a collection of iconic steam and diesel locomotives which have all had a part of make the Great Western 'God's Wonderful Railway'. Those in attendance included examples from the era of steam, diesel-hydraulic Westerns and Warships and diesel-electric Class 50s.
Highlight of the event was the collection of 7 preserved examples of the Class 50 locomotive fleet, some of which had been based at the Old Oak Common depot.
