Defiance at different stages during The Cumbrian Hoovers tour run by
Pathfinder Tours.
The tour started at Birmingham International and headed north going over the famous Settle-Carlisle line. For their return journey the locomotives took an unusual route around the Cumbrian Coast, believed to be a first ever for the class, before joining the West Coast Mainline at Carnforth. They then retraced their route back to Birmingham International, a total of 474 miles for the one-day trip.
